Proceeds from the Ducere Global Business School fund the Ducere Foundation, helping schools across Africa. Ducere Foundation works with Education Ministries, schools, like minded NGOs and Australian High Commissions across Africa to accelerate literacy through ground-breaking publishing and teacher training. Every enrolment into Ducere UK will help to educate an African child.
Our African Children’s Stories project has amplified the voices of over 700 authors within 53 Collections from across 20 African nations, and distributed over 500,000 books since 2014. We provide master classes based on teaching and learning resources developed specifically for Africa.
Our goals are to publish stories for each of Africa’s 55 countries by 2024 and to include the African Children’s Story program in African teacher training institutions to ensure a systematic and enduring approach to literacy acceleration.
The Ducere Foundation is committed to publish stories written by African children, for African children to be shared across the globe.
We believe that education is the key driver of meaningful social change, especially across Africa where rapid urbanisation is providing both opportunities and challenges. Our Peace Education program delivers curriculum content and mentorship through debating, human rights practice, peace building, advocacy and leadership.
The Ducere Foundation Read Out Loud radio program, broadcast from Livingstone, Zambia since 2013, gives hundreds of children the opportunity to share their life experience, discuss their ideas across the airwaves and stimulate rich conversation within their communities.
